Citation Management

If you’ve been through the citation process before, you know how intimidating it can be, especially if you are not well versed in every regulation.  If you haven’t been through the citation process before it helps to have someone on your side, guiding you through the process of what to do so it goes smoothly.

We review citations for accuracy.  It is not uncommon for inspectors to make mistakes and no one should have to pay fines for citations that are not really violations.

We help companies strategize how to handle citations, help them negotiate and discuss the citations with OSHA or the State, and determine proper and practical abatements that everyone can live with.

Having someone on your side can save you time, effort, money, and mistakes.  Finding practical ways to comply will go a long way to reducing repeat violations.

In 2007 the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) began administrating a system for Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Security (CFATS).  It does not matter what kind of facility you have because the DHS is interested in chemicals.  This means that many facilities that are exempt from PSM (Process Safety Management) and RMP (Risk Management Plans) may still be required to comply with the requirements of the CFATS rule.   This involves registration with Homeland Security and, for some facilities, SVAs (Security Vulnerability Assessments) and SSP (Site Security Plans).

We assist companies with registering with Homeland Security, submitting required information and complying with the CFATS regulation.  We also develop Risk Management Plans in accordance with EPA regulation and Process Safety Management plans in accordance with OSHA regulation.
