Facility Response Plan (FRPs)

An FRP demonstrates, to the maximum extent possible, a facility’s preparedness to respond to a worst case oil discharge of oil and to the substantial threat of such a discharge to the surrounding environment.  Under the Clean Water Act, all owners/operators of oil storage facilities are required to prepare a facility-specific response plan.

Program includes:

  • Provide support for understanding what regulations apply and when they apply.
  • Prepare the plan and assist in the submission process to the USCG and EPA in compliance with their specific requirements.

Spill Prevention, Control & Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan

All non-transportation related fixed facilities that can reasonably be expected to discharge oil into or upon navigable waters or adjoining shorelines,  and have either above ground tanks with more than 1320 gallon aggregate capacity or below ground storage tanks with an aggregate capacity of more than 42,000 gallons are required to have a SPCC plan.  We can help you determine if you need a plan, and if so, assist with plan preparation and implementation. This will include all forms, inspections, and ongoing regulatory requirements related to the plan.

Tier II Reporting

The goal of Tier II is to protect the public health and environment by providing current and accurate information about hazardous chemicals and their health effects to local planners and responders, as well as to the public.

Companies with quantities of hazardous chemicals greater than published threshold amounts must submit Tier II forms annually by March 1st to state and local agencies.

We help companies comply on time and ensure the correct information is provided to the appropriate authorities.

Hazardous Waste Handling

Due to increased regulation, there are a now a lot of rules surrounding hazardous waste, universal waste, and the recycling of certain materials.  These include labeling, handling, disposal and recordkeeping requirements.  The only way to handle it all correctly is to have a company program that is concise and puts the needed information at the fingertips of key company employees.

We prepare programs to help comply with federal, state and local laws for specific facility or vessel waste streams.  These plans help to ensure that you are handling these materials properly and are structured to minimize the worry of compliance.
