Posted on by

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), failure to control hazardous energy accounts for nearly 1 in 10 serious accidents in the workplace. These accidents are preventable.

This course is designed for engineers, maintenance workers, or supervisors who are responsible for the servicing and maintenance of machines and equipment in which the unexpected energization or startup of the machines or equipment, or release of stored energy, could harm employees and what they need to know in order to effectively and safely do their job. Topics covered include: types of energy and their hazards, electrical safety basics, Federal/State requirements, contractor coordination, six steps for lockout and lock out devices. Course can be general or tailored to a specific operation/facility.
